Mary Jane Lapointe is a seasoned trial attorney who has tried cases in both state and federal courts, as well as representing clients in arbitration and at hearings before administrative agencies.

She routinely assists employees and employers in employment disputes. In addition to her experience in labor and employment law, Mary Jane has handled complex litigation in many other areas, including personal injury, medical malpractice, and business disputes.

She was named one of Indiana’s “Super Lawyers” for 2005, 2006, 2007, 2010, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017. Mary Jane is one of “The National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Trial Lawyers” for 2013 and 2014.

She is admitted to practice law in Indiana state courts, the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Northern Districts of Indiana, and the U.S.Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.

Prior to entering the private practice of law, she was a judicial clerk for the Honorable V. Sue Shields, Indiana Court of Appeals. Mary Jane graduated magna cum laude from Indiana University School of Law-Bloomington, was inducted into the Order of the Coif, and served as the Executive Editor of the Indiana Law Journal. Daniel Lapointe Kent has been with Lapointe Law Firm for over 10 years, and became a co-owner in 2014. Daniel grew up on the northwest side of Indianapolis, and attended North Central High School. He did his undergraduate studies at Indiana University, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy.

Daniel went on to Indiana University School of Law-Indianapolis where he received his J.D. in May of 2007. He is admitted to practice law in the state courts of Indiana, as well as in the U.S. Federal District Courts for the Southern and Northers Districts of Indiana. In law school, Daniel focused his studies on general litigation, business transactions, and employment law. Daniel was named a “Rising Star Super Lawyer” in 2011, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017.
